The JW Marriott in Summerlin Wedding That’ll Have You Crying Happy Tears

When Bre & Brian first booked me for their engagement session back in summer 2024, deep in the Nevada mountains, with golden light and all the flirty-fun energy, I had a feeling this was going to be something special! Fast forward to spring, and their JW Marriott in Summerlin wedding was exactly that: sweet, sentimental, and full of the kind of laughter that makes your cheeks hurt. This venue is one of my favorites for couples who want that secret-garden vibe without having to leave Vegas. Lush trees, open lawns, and all the spring sunshine your heart could want. Oh, and their guest list? An absolute blast. Between the heartfelt speeches, dance floor chaos, and one truly thoughtful surprise during the ceremony (you’ll see), this day had all the feels and then some!

Getting Ready With the Girls (And Champagne, Duh)

Bre started her morning surrounded by her girls, draped in pink satin pajamas, sipping bubbly and glowing like she knew she was about to be the main character all day long. Hair curled, champagne in hand, and a big ol’ smile, you could tell she was feeling the moment. Their vibe was relaxed but joyful, like a slumber party with a dress code. Meanwhile, Brian and the guys were posted up in their own corner of the hotel, trading toasts and cracking beers. Classic. It felt like two stories unfolding at the same time, both equally full of anticipation. Bre’s bridal details were chef’s kiss, pearled heels, soft pastel florals, and the sweetest custom vow books. Every piece of her flat lay felt intentional but effortless. And when her dress went on? Cue jaws on the floor. That floral lace? Unreal!

A Ceremony Full of Sunshine and Surprises

The outdoor ceremony setup at JW Marriott in Summerlin was everything: round floral arch, golden chairs, and spring colors that popped against the green backdrop. But the moment that really got me? When Bre & Brian surprised Bre’s stepdad by hiding the rings under his chair so he could present them during the ceremony. I MEAN. The kind of thoughtful gesture that makes everyone tear up (including your photographer behind the lens, trying to hold it together). Step-parents deserve to feel included, and this moment was such a beautiful way to honor that. And let’s talk about Brian’s reaction when Bre walked down the aisle, so much emotion! You could feel how present they both were, taking it all in.

Romantic Portraits & The Sweetest Little Oasis

After the ceremony, we wandered through the property for some golden hour portraits, and honestly? This venue is a hidden gem for exactly that. Palm trees, manicured gardens, and perfect little pockets of light. The way Bre’s veil caught the breeze, the way Brian looked at her like she hung the moon, just ugh, all of it. And can we take a moment for her bouquet? Bright pink, orange, cream, a bold, joyful mix that tied the entire day together. If you’re dreaming of a Vegas wedding that doesn’t feel overly “Vegas,” the JW Marriott in Summerlin really brings that relaxed-luxe energy. It’s romantic, it's green, and it’s wildly photogenic.

Party Mode: Activated

By the time the reception rolled around, everyone was ready. Long tables were set up on the lawn, strung with fairy lights and surrounded by blooms. The whole setup had that European garden party vibe, casual elegance with a side of let’s-dance-til-we-drop. Bre & Brian's crew did not disappoint. There were tears during toasts, full-out dance battles, and a dance floor that turned into a full-on celebration under the stars. One of my favorite moments? Brian and his mom during their dance, it was pure emotion and joy. Happy tears and big laughs. Just how it should be!

A Wedding That Felt Like Them

Bre & Brian’s day was more than beautiful, it was intentional. Every detail felt like them, from the fun pops of color to the quiet emotional moments that unfolded so naturally. As a photographer, getting to help shape a day like this, one that’s joyful, vibrant, and full of soul is a total dream!
