A Dreamy Surprise Proposal at Lake Las Vegas

Some proposals just stick with you, and this one absolutely did! This proposal at Lake Las Vegas was months in the making, and every little detail came together so perfectly. From the incredible floral setup overlooking the water to the golden sunset lighting, Aaron made sure this was a moment Liani would never forget. The best part? Liani had actually told him months before that if he ever proposed, I had to be the one photographing it. Talk about pressure... but honestly, it was one of the biggest compliments I could have received. Watching everything unfold exactly as we had planned, and getting to celebrate with them afterward was one of those days that reminds me why I love what I do!
Planning the Perfect Proposal at Lake Las Vegas
Aaron reached out months before the proposal, which made all the difference. We had plenty of time to talk through locations, timing, and how to make sure Liani would be completely surprised while still ending up exactly where she needed to be. Once we landed on the grassy courtyard overlooking the water at Lake Las Vegas, everything else started falling into place. Then came the setup. The heart-shaped floral arch, hundreds of white rose petals, glowing candles, and the lake in the background created the dreamiest scene. Aaron wanted to completely wow Liani, and thanks to an incredible vendor team, that's exactly what happened. If you're planning your own proposal at Lake Las Vegas, giving yourself plenty of time to plan is one of the best things you can do.
The Moment I'll Never Forget
Of course, the proposal itself was amazing. Liani was completely surprised, there were happy tears, and afterward we spent some time wandering around the lake while the sun started setting for their engagement portraits. Somewhere in the middle of taking photos, Liani looked over at me and said, "I'm so happy you're here." It wasn't planned or prompted, it just came out naturally, and it honestly meant the world to me.

Why I Love Photographing a Proposal at Lake Las Vegas
Lake Las Vegas is one of my favorite places for proposals because it feels romantic without being over the top. You get beautiful waterfront views, charming architecture, mountain scenery, and some of the prettiest sunsets around, all without feeling like you're in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. Lake Las Vegas isn't very crowded - so it's the perfect place to pop the question while keeping things intimate + the focus totally on you. The golden light that evening couldn't have been more perfect. Between the reflections on the water, the soft sunset glow, and all of the white florals, every part of the evening felt effortless. It's proof that with a little planning and the right location, you don't need much else to create a proposal that feels unforgettable.
